Meeting your ESDA member: Taking identity to the next level

April 2014 Associations

The Ideco Biometric Security Solutions vision was born in the mid ‘90s when there was a demand for compliant reliable biometric solutions that would satisfy global identity roadmaps. Ideco positioned itself to enable the South African market with best-of-breed biometric solutions to ensure accurate compliant identity solutions.

Over the years that followed Ideco became the largest vendor globally of Sagem Morpho solutions, and also established itself as an authority on compliant and accurate identity solutions. Over the past five years Ideco has developed a dedicated more niche focus in terms of component level repairs and executive level identity strategy consulting.

Ideco’s aim is to enable the market with best of breed biometric and identity solutions which ensure Certainty Through Identity and to design and promote solutions that link irrefutable identities to any process via auditable and proven methods thereby ensuring compliant identity evidence records and systems that are admissible and irrefutable in any court of law globally.

While offering identity and authentication expertise built from years in business, Ideco distributes its products through an accredited distribution channel for traditional hardware and software solutions, as well as installers and system integrators for accredited product repairs and support.

Ideco addresses end users and corporate organisations for non-channel biometric solutions and identity strategy consulting.

Ideco operates the only Morpho accredited repair centre in Africa and has established itself as a trustworthy and reliable authority which is consulted by global organisations, end users and state organisations in terms of identity strategy and compliance. The company is referenced by original equipment manufacturers and is acknowledged as a global repository and reference library for Morpho technical data and historical product and development knowledge in Africa.

Ideco has a cutting-edge project focused software engineering division which enables backbone agnostic biometric integration and support on approved projects.

With extensive experience in the biometric arena, Ideco is focused specifically as a biometric and identity vendor and niche consultancy and not as a distribution or supply house.
