Remote viewing at iLegal 2013

1 February 2013 News & Events

Remote monitoring has become a firm favourite for many companies over the past few years and this market is showing significant growth in South Africa, while the rest of the African continent is a market waiting to boom. And if you talk to the experts, this growth is going to continue for the foreseeable future as businesses realise the value of an off-site control room monitoring their premises.

Operators in these remote monitoring centres have an advantage in that they are not on-site, so they cannot be as easily bribed or intimidated by criminals. Moreover, they are also under the supervision of managers and emotionless software that will remind them to do their job and raise an alarm if they do not do it.

Best of all, everything done in an efficiently designed and run monitoring centre is recorded and even if an operator wants to change or delete something, they cannot and their attempts to change it are also recorded. But how does the customer know if the remote monitoring service provider it wants to hire has put the time, money and effort into setting up an efficient operation and training operators to function optimally?

Back by popular demand, iLegal 2013 will be taking place on 14th March 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Rosebank, Johannesburg (on the Gautrain route). As always, iLegal 2013 promises to be the leading event of the year for everybody involved in the use, operation, installation and implementation or any aspect of surveillance, from security managers, executive managers, IT leaders and technology providers and installers.

Hi-Tech Security Solutions and Dr Craig Donald will be hosting a remote monitoring panel discussion at iLegal 2013, in which four experts in this field will be answering questions and discussing remote monitoring in general. If you have questions or want to know more about what makes a for a value-adding remote monitoring solution, do not miss it.
