Mutual Austen Safe Group

April 2008 News & Events

Mutual Safes is committed to the protection of cash, valuables and, ultimately, people in the high-risk environment in which we live in South Africa.

Established in 1984, Mutual's first factory premises were situated in Rosslyn, north of Pretoria where about 10 factory workers formed this fledgling company.

After a year Mutual had outgrown these premises and moved to Despatch, Pretoria. At the beginning of 1996 Mutual moved to new and large premises in Waltloo, from where it operates today.

The group presently consists of a manufacturing plant, head office and export division in Pretoria, with associated companies in Johannesburg. Cape Town, KZN, Bloemfontein and Nelspruit. There is a second manufacturing plant in George, Southern Cape.
