SAIS celebrates 30 years

The South African Institute of Security celebrated its 30th anniversary with a luncheon at JP Morgan on 15 February and a gala dinner at the Indaba Hotel the following night.

The guest speaker at the lunch was the newly appointed SASSETA CEO Zongezile Baloyi, who spoke on the vision of SASSETA, and Chris Hazis received his new membership certificate.

Over 200 guests from all sectors of the security industry attended the 30th Anniversary Ball on 16 February, where Bob Power presented a short history of the SAIS and Terry Scallan read a letter of congratulations from the British Security Institute on reaching the milestone. Cedric Welsh was handed his Institute Associate Membership certificate from Kris Pillay.
