People-counting camera

The Hikvision iDS2CD6810D is the latest model of the Hikvision people-counting camera available from Regal Distributors. This camera is equipped with a dual lens, making it even more accurate than its single lens predecessor, which already effectively mapped the number of visitors with only one lens.

The dual lens enables the camera to create a three-dimensional image of each object. The innovation mainly lies in the cameras capability to map the height of a person on the Z-axis, thus excluding any confusion with non-relevant items such as shadows or large objects. A 1/3-inch progressive scan CMOS video sensor with a 2.8 mm fixed lens is incorporated to capture images at a maximum resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. The camera is equipped with not only a dual lens, but a dual CPU which offers system integrators easy configuration.
