Hi-Tech Security Solutions’ Estate Security Breakfast moves to Durban

October 2014 News & Events

Hi-Tech Security Solutions, in cooperation with Rob Anderson, is proud to announce that it will be hosting an Executive Breakfast on the topic of Estate Security. The invitation-only breakfast will be held on 11 November 2014 at the Durban County Club.

The event is aimed at people and companies actively involved in securing residential estates, from estate property developers, estate security managers, system integrators who design and install security for estates, consultants on estate security, residential estate association representatives and companies providing guarding and electronic security to estates.

The breakfast will run from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and will consist of presentations by Rob Anderson, two estate managers and Gus Brecher. Each presentation will offer insight into security issues pertinent to estates, and provide advice and examples of how these issues have been resolved. There will be no product pitches in the presentations, but proven advice and solutions from leaders in the field.

Rob Anderson, MD of Rob Anderson and Associates will start the event with an overview of the evolution of estate security over the years, focusing on what works in today's world. In addition, he will advise estate managers as to what they need to focus on to obtain the results they require.

Following Anderson, Basil Schreiber, estate manager for the Izinga Management Association will discuss the challenges facing security operations on estates. From his position as an estate manager, Schreiber will highlight the challenges faced by estate and security managers who need to secure their residents and their assets, while ensuring people can still move about freely without being hindered by over-the-top security measures.

Vagn Nielsen , CEO of the well-known Helderberg Village, located in Somerset West, will focus on practical visitor management solutions for estates. He will be talking about what works when a large estate has regular visitors, be they contractors, deliveries, friends and family of residents, and how to control their entry and exit in a non-intrusive, yet secure manner.

Finally, Gus Brecher, MD of Cathexis Technologies will discuss how estates can use surveillance technology to increase efficiency. He will focus on how technology can be applied to this specific market with its unique requirements in order to add value to the estate and improve the effectiveness of the overall security solution.

There will be ample opportunity to network with colleagues during the tea and breakfast breaks, as well as after the presentations; as well as an opportunity to view the sponsors’ table-top displays. The sponsors will be displaying various solutions aimed at the residential market and will be happy to discuss their residential solutions.

Seating is limited, so to secure an invitation to this event, please contact Vivienne Dorrington on +27 (0)11 543 5800, or on [email protected]
