SMART speakers: The economy

SMART Security Solutions has a jam-packed line-up for the Securex Seminar Theatre in 2024. One of the highlights on the first day (11 June), is a panel discussion on the economy of South Africa after the 2024 national elections.

Renowned economist, Dawie Roodt will be on hand to offer his views on where the country is headed as a whole. Dawie will talk on the historic, current and future economic realities the country faces, no doubt informed by the results of the elections on 29 May.

Dawie Roodt will be joined by a long-time contributor to SMART Security Solutions, management consultant with the Marathon Group, Lesley-Anne Kleyn, who will focus on the real business impact of the economic future of South Africa and what businesses should be considering to stay ahead of the game.

The third member of the panel will be Johan van Wyk, who has years of experience in leading companies in the security industry. He will speak about the economic impact the security industry can expect to see and feel, and what needs to happen ‘on the ground’ to keep security businesses going, and flourishing.

The panel will be open to questions from the audience, so be sure to be at the Seminar Theatre in Hall 2 to gain insight into where we are headed and how to keep your business’s engine running, even without power.
