A new showcase

June 2009 Conferences & Events

Elvey is presenting a host of products at IFSEC South Africa Securex 2009.

Long range photoelectric detector

The new AX-350/650TF Series of 100 m–200 m long-range photoelectric detectors employs multiple beam technology and utilises an intelligent AND circuit that require all beams to be interrupted simultaneously before an alarm is generated. This reduces false alarms due to accidental beam interruption by falling leaves and small animals.

In addition, the selectable beam frequencies can be used to avoid unwanted crosstalk that can occur when using multiple photobeams over long distances or beam stacking applications.

Dual phone line receiver

The SG-System I is a two phone receiver that has the capability to monitor IP communicators. It can receive DNIS (dialed number identification services) and ANI (automatic number identification) or caller ID and based upon the number identified respond with the correct handshake. It is fully programmable over a network and has built-in diagnostic tools for troubleshooting received alarm signals.

Wireless outdoor PIR detector

The wireless BX-80NR is quick and easy to install. This unit requires no complicated wiring as it is a battery operated PIR detector. The BX-80NR offers flexible features offering a 24 m-long detection range. In addition, this high-tech detector, designed to be wall-mounted centrally on a building, is a new concept in outdoor protection as it increases the effectiveness of a security system.

Wireless GSM/GPRS alarm panel communicator with video verification

The Videofied MotionViewer combines a PIR, camera and illuminators into a self-powered device that can be mounted anywhere security is needed. The panel communicates alarms to the Central Station over the cellular network using GSM (2-way voice) and GPRS (10 second video of the intrusion). Video verification and voice verification on a single system. The Videofied XL literally needs no wires or cables, not even to power the panel.

Samsung A1 digital cameras with A1 technology

The new generation Samsung electronic camera provides heightened camera performance 24 hours a day. Not only does A1 DSP technology make camera images clearer and more natural in appearance, it also delivers high resolution, increased contrast ratio and significant image noise reduction under low illumination.

Wireless outdoor high mount detector

The HX-40RAM from OPTEX is an outdoor PIR that is wireless battery operated, mountable up to 3 m high and features anti-masking technology. The dense 94 zone detection area is shared by two non-overlapping detection patterns each incorporating OPTEX’s patented Optical system. These segregated detection areas form the basis of the product’s target recognition process which results in true target capture and exceptional false alarm immunity.

GSC ProxNet Pro Networked access control system

An advanced version of the popular GSC ProxNet access control system, the new ProxNet Pro supports up to 10 000 controllers, 25 000 readers and 20 000 card holders, making it ideal for those businesses that have multiple offices or disparate sites that need to be controlled from a centralised security office

A departure from the previous system is that ProxnetPro is a Web-based product, meaning that all programming, viewing of data and reports are available using a standard Web browser.

Wireless short range photoelectric detector

The wireless battery powered versions of the popular AX-100TF/200TF photoelectric detectors are designed to provide reliable detection at an external distance up to 60 m. Their compact design and high IP65 rating makes them ideal for a wide range of applications. AX beams include automatic gain control (AGC) to help compensate for loss of signal caused by fog or heavy rain. This circuitry ensures that, even with 99% of signal lost, the beams will continue to function.

Externally adjustable IR LED day and night bullet camera

The VisionPrime LDP-920 Day/Night Bullet camera provides 42 pcs of high-performance IR (Infrared) LEDs (light-emitting diode) to deliver 45 m of natural contrast image in zero visible light. Constructed from hard-wearing aluminium, its tough outer casing protects an ultra high-tech inner, namely a Sony 1/3” Super ExView HAD Highresolution colour CCD chip, from not only inclement weather but vandalism. Special split glass design minimises halo effects caused by the reflection of infrared beams emitted by the LED back to the lens.
