Mercia Van Niekerk

International security technology manufacturer Paxton has appointed Mercia Van Niekerk as the new Sales Manager for the Free State and Gauteng regions.

Van Niekerk, said, “It’s my pleasure to join Paxton’s team. I started my career in the security industry four years ago, gaining experience working with a range of access control and CCTV products. I am excited to meet with installers and work with them to find the most suitable access control solutions for their customers.”

Van Niekerk comes to Paxton with a wealth of experience from her previous position at Pentagon Distribution, a distributor of access control and CCTV systems. Prior to that, she worked in the facilities management industry, allowing her to understand customers’ needs and propose the best possible access control solution for the customers.

Since joining Paxton, Van Niekerk has been meeting with security installers, to introduce how Paxton’s products and systems can add the benefits of innovative security technology to them and their customers. She also plays an important role in the Paxton Tech Tour this year, touring the country to meet Paxton installers. The Paxton Tech Tour is a product experience that gives installers a chance to get hands-on with Paxton’s products and discuss business opportunities.

Werner Geldenhuys, Paxton’s Country Sales Manager for South Africa, said, “Mercia has great knowledge of the security industry, and her previous experiences allow her to understand and support our installers and Paxton end-users’ specific project requirements. We are extremely pleased to have her on board and look forward to her meeting with many more of our installers.”
