SMART Security Solutions is not dead. Despite some rumours, SMART is entering 2024 with an agenda ready to burst in terms of content, conferences, and roundtables – for a start.

Last year, we rebranded from Hi-Tech to SMART, and more changes are happening in 2024. The most significant change is that we no longer publish the monthly print magazine. However, our online and email news briefs will continue and will cover the physical and cybersecurity market in general. There will also be a monthly Editor’s Choice news brief with exclusive articles written specifically for this market.

In place of our monthly issues, we will print six handbooks each year, and the content will naturally be online as well. Besides the printed handbooks and online content, SMART will host in-person and online conferences.

Our handbooks for the year will be:

• January: SMART Access & Identity 2024.

• March: SMART Mining Security 2024.

• May: SMART Surveillance 2024.

• July: SMART Estate Security 2024.

• September: SMART Alarms, Intruder Detection and Perimeter 2024.

• November: SMART Fire and Safety 2024.

In-person conferences to look forward to, along with the proposed dates, include:
