Comnet is exclusive partner for Secutel in Lesotho

Issue 5 2022 News & Events, Products & Solutions

Lesotho’s Comnet and South Africa’s Secutel Technologies have entered into a partnership which will see Comnet distribute all of Secutel Technologies’ products in Lesotho.

Comnet is an information and communications technology (ICT) service provider and software developer that provides ICT-based solutions and consultancy services in Lesotho. Comnet has grown phenomenally since it was registered in 1991, when it was solely providing technical services to Lesotho Highlands Water Authority to service its Wang servers.

It has since evolved to become a diversified ICT services provider. Technological trends have driven the company to identify and address the demands of ever-growing customer needs by providing broader solutions and services.

Comnet Lesotho employs over 40 engineers, ICT experts, software developers and administrative staff members who are all devoted to addressing customers' business needs and solving business problems. The team consults to determine requirements and configure solutions that are specifically designed to address identified challenges.

Maime Albert Nthathakane, the managing director of Comnet, says, “At Comnet, our employees are the heart of our business. We always prepare our team to be armed with the latest skills and trends in technology by actively utilising the latest training materials to ensure that we keep abreast with the drift of this ever-evolving industry.”

According to Danny Pringle, director of Secutel Technologies, the company is enthusiastic to not only be working with Comnet but to be expanding into Lesotho. “This partnership means a great deal to the Secutel Technologies brand and all the products that are under it.”

Comnet will be an exclusive partner in Lesotho to distribute all of Secutel Technologies’ products, which include a visual range of intruder detection products, NoKey biometric and cloud-centric access control, SecuVue camera-to-cloud surveillance and analytics, as well as SecuTraq workforce tracking and management.

Secutel believes that these products will not only bring advanced technology to the Lesotho market, but also an abundance of innovative solutions and security technology that will augment the smart security market already serviced by Comnet in Lesotho.
