Gallagher and Avigilon highlight integration capability

Issue 8 2021 News & Events

Gallagher held a roadshow in partnership with Avigilon in Johannesburg, to provide channel partners, end-users and consultants with an overview of the Avigilon integration with Gallagher’s security software, Command Centre.

“The main purpose of the roadshow was to highlight the possibilities of the integration between Avigilon’s video management software and the Gallagher system,” explains Tiisetso Khanye, technical account manager, for Gallagher South Africa. “But equally, the roadshow was a great opportunity to demonstrate how customers can utilise this integration to form an efficient and proactive response to managing and handling security related organisational needs, as well as feeding usable intelligence from both systems to enhance business requirements.”

The intelligent integration provides end-users with the ability to receive and acknowledge ACC alarms, view live and recorded video, control PTZ devices and view motion, analytics and other events within Gallagher Command Centre.

Khanye says it was a successful roadshow with more than 42 channel partners, end-users and consultants in attendance across two days. “It’s always great meeting directly with the everyday users of our Gallagher system and getting feedback from them.”

Quentin Clark, operations manager – Africa, for Gallagher’s certified channel partner, Structure Works Complete Security, says his biggest takeaway from the roadshow was gaining a better understanding of the extensive resources, training and support available to channel partners and customers online.

Strategic account manager from Nextec, Sergio Da Silva, says his biggest takeaway from the session was learning about the new features the integration offers, along with the indicated roadmap that was discussed. “Learning more about Gallagher Care Plan and the added benefits it offers customers as part of their software maintenance agreement was hugely valuable,” says Da Silva.

Khanye explains a highlight from the roadshow was meeting with the University of the Free State. “It was great to meet members of the University’s security services team who have not been exposed to Gallagher before. They found some of the most basic Command Centre features very impressive – so we’re looking forward to building on this learning and providing a deeper understanding of our Command Centre platform in the future.”

Assistant director for technical security, Security Services at the University of the Free State, Tankiso Seboka says: “With regards to the roadshow, it was very fruitful, well organised and very engaging. I’m glad to have attended it and the information provided will assist us in terms of campus solutions to mitigate risks.”
