Securex 2003 saw VisionLine exhibiting a number of new products. These included Fiber Options Fox dbm drop and insert system and self-healing ring, Kalatel digital recorders and Cyber domes and Axis network cameras and recording equipment.
On the Fiber Options range, the FOX dbm system drew considerable interest. This system is for large transport systems, campus environments, etc. It has the ability to transmit 256 realtime video channels, 256 realtime audio channels, 256 data channels and 1000 contact closure over two single mode fibre up to a distance of 1000 km.
The Fiber Options self-healing ring is a data transceiver system where one can have up to 32 nodes transmitting MPD (multiprotocol data), which includes RS232, 422, 485, TTL, Manchester, Bi-Phase and FSK.
Kalatel also received good interest with its X25 Day/Night Cyber Dome. The product has a number of interesting features such as Auto stabilisation for keeping images steady in wind conditions. On the digital recording side, VisionLine exhibited the Kalatel DVMRe which features a built in ATM/P.O.S interface. The product is fully networkable and can hold up to a gigabyte of information.
VisionLine also showcased the AXIS range of CCTV equipment, displaying various IP cameras, networkable video recorders and software to manage such systems over IP networks.
