Chubb Electronic Security expands and upgrades in PE

Chubb Electronic Security has significantly upgraded its operations in Port Elizabeth, where the company has installed a sophisticated new control room which features state-of-the-art security electronics ensuring that Port Elizabeth and surrounding area subscribers are constantly monitored from central Port Elizabeth.

Chubb, which has built up a strong and loyal following in the area over the past 26 years, has also purchased additional vehicles to service the area expanding the total fleet in the city.

According to Hein Möller, Chubb’s Sales Manager for the area, the merger and subsequent reintroduction of the hi-tech control room will help accelerate the company’s growth in the region.

“We have a highly skilled team and sophisticated technology in the control room including a listen-in facility which is unique in this region.

“The improved technological systems we have put in place will also enable the company to comfortably handle its projected growth in the area as well as its diversification into other areas of the security industry – including third party monitoring for smaller alarm companies,” he said.

According to Möller, further acquisitions are in the pipeline.

The company’s strengthened base in the city and its ready access to sophisticated, electronic equipment has already resulted in it securing several big orders. Included among these is a contract valued at more than R450 000 to fit an extensive CCTV system in a leading supermarket at Greenacres Shopping Centre as well as a contract valued at just over R163 000 for the installation of CCTV access control and alarm equipment at a bank in the Congo, Central Africa.

“Chubb Electronic Security intends to re-establish its base in the Port Elizabeth area and will actively support the community within which it operates. We will do this via sponsorships and by actively supporting a cooperative arrangement between local business, the South African Police Service (SAPS), private security companies and the community,” says Möller.
