Motion sensor with K-band technology

Honeywell-TeqTrader has introduced the IntelliSense range of passive infrared, motion sensors and glass break detectors to the South African market.

The Dual Tec DT-7235T EU motion sensor, flagship of the IntelliSense range, provides protection with pet immunity up to 45 kg in a simple installation configuration that requires no adjustments. Installers simply mount the unit at the recommended height, conduct a brief walk-test and the sensor is ready. A visible, single coloured LED helps the installer to identify range from any distance or angle within the pattern.

Optimum performance is achieved using K-band microwave technology and uniform sensitivity optics. K-band microwave technology is aimed at delivering sharp protection without holes or weak spots.

The custom-made source offers pattern shaping to fill the protected area with a broad, balloon-shaped pattern that matches the PIR pattern. Pattern containment reduces the penetration of microwave energy through the walls.

This motion sensor also features a patented black bug guard that improves white light immunity, as well as a patented adaptive microwave threshold circuit that automatically adjusts for room disturbances. ABS plastic is used in the housing for shock and impact protection.
