Elvey International, sole distributors and suppliers of Alarmcom, recently announced the availability of the Redzone range of outdoor passive detectors.
The range includes the IS402 passive infrared barrier for external detection up to 100 m and the IS412 passive infrared barrier for external detection up to 150 m. Both may be used in intrusion detection systems to build a combined perimeter monitoring facility and as a motion detector to activate video surveillance systems.
The detection characteristics and large range, even in adverse weather conditions, permit the use of the IS402/IS412 wherever the installation of active barrier systems is impossible or inappropriate. These barriers may be installed in fenced-in or restricted access areas in military camps, industrial premises, private grounds, mines or for the protection of long window or door fronts.
An optical system filters and focuses the infrared radiation detected in a curtain-shaped zone onto a special configuration of multiple pyro-electric differential sensors. In addition, a selective differential signal processor and switchable adaptive threshold decoding (ATD) for ambient condition feedback reduce the risk of false alarms.
