Lenel Systems International has received a SecuTech Innovation 2002 Award for its OnGuard digital video management solution.

The SecuTech Innovation Awards competition was created to encourage the advancement of technology and to honour recent efforts in security product development. The competition was organised by New Era International, publishers of Automation & Security magazine, which circulates in the Asia Pacific region. Products were submitted for consideration in one of three categories: security equipment, fire and disaster management equipment, and information security. Products were judged by their completeness, functionality, technical innovation, and appearance.

Among the eight award winners that were ultimately selected, Lenel is the only company that is not based in Asia or Eastern Europe. The awards were presented at the SecuTech Expo 2002 international security technology exhibition, which was held in Taipei, Taiwan.
