Hlanganani standardise on ICOM

Hlanganani Protection Services, which has won major contracts for providing security at Spoornet and Metrorail facilities in the Johannesburg area and has standardised on ICOM radio equipment to ensure continuous contact between its personnel.

Hlanganani Protection Services specialises in commercial and industrial security, and operates some 300 pieces of ICOM equipment supplied by Multisource Telecoms, including base stations, portable and mobile radios. A number of ICOM models including the IC-3GS, IC-F310, IC-F310S, IC-F11 and IC-F11S units are used by the company and are in operation during 12-hour shifts and provide communication over distances of up to 2 km.
