RDC’s IceCube Video

IceCube Video is part of RDC’s new interactive communication ecosystem. The ecosystem enables the addition of arm/disarm functions, on just about any new or existing alarm panel, via a mobile app. On top of this, IceCube Video gives the benefit of adding CCTV cameras to the system with control and monitoring integrated in the same app.

The system is designed to give security companies a competitive advantage in the tough South African environment. Providers can grow new connections, protect against connection losses through churning and slowly and continually add new monthly revenue streams with video and IoT services. Video can be added to existing alarm installations, at low cost, but with secure data encryption usually only available in high-end DVR-based CCTV systems.

A range of indoor and outdoor cameras are available with local video storage on an internal MicroSD card and event-based recordings stored in the cloud. Two-way voice on the indoor cameras allows for live video intercom features, such as talk through and listen, on the same app.
