December 2001 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

The Optex range of photoelectric detectors is available for both short and long range applications.

Short-range

The AX-100PLUS and AX-200PLUS are short-range photo beams with finger-touch alignment controls. Precise beam definition combined with gun sights and voltage meter jacks make for easy installation. The weatherproof housing is equipped with rubber O-rings to keep out insects and dirt. The beams include lightning protection exceeding 14 kV with a Form-C relay. Optional heaters and back covers are available. Both detectors have selectable beam frequencies and LED alignment indications

Long-range

The AX-350MKII and AX-650MKII are designed for long-range outdoor protection. According to the manufacturer, the patented alignment technology gives alignment data at the transmitter and receiver to make aiming easy. An EMI surge absorber and high-surge resistible relay are designed for stable operation in lightning prone areas. The beams come complete with a Form-C relay output, adjustable frequencies and environmental disqualification circuitry.
