The RFX radio frequency wireless interface system from Notifier facilitates fire detection in situations where wiring is impractical.
Because the RFX system is wireless, no drilling for wire running is required, making it suitable for facilities with materials such as marble or rock, museums, historical sites and commercial buildings where the preservation of ceilings or wall designs is a priority.
The RFX wireless system utilises a translation device (RFX) to allow communication between a Notifier intelligent fire alarm control panel and up to 80 wireless detectors, and operates within a 60-foot radius in any direction. The system monitors the status of each wireless detector and connects to the control panel's signalling line circuit (SLC), which allows each and every device to have its own unique address and custom status indication.
The RFX wireless interface assembly consists of an RFX board, a mounting enclosure and an RFX-R receiver. The RFX board contains all the connections necessary for the RFX wireless interface system to operate. In addition, it contains a liquid crystal display (LCD) that provides diagnostic information, and a CPU failure indicator.
