Igniting standards, powering protection

Issue 3 2025 News & Events, Fire & Safety

Fire safety is more than compliance, it is a critical commitment to protecting lives, assets, and infrastructure. At Firexpo 2025, taking place from 3 to 5 June at Gallagher Convention Centre, that commitment takes centre stage.

“What sets Firexpo apart is its strong backing from South Africa’s key fire industry associations, a mark of trust and relevance that translates directly into value for our visitors,” says Mark Anderson, portfolio director at Specialised Exhibitions – a division of Montgomery Group.

The Fire Protection Association of South Africa (FPASA) lends its deep-rooted expertise and training leadership to ensure fire protection trends and best practices are front and centre. This is reinforced by the co-location of the one-day FPASA InFIReS Seminar, which takes place on 4 June at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

The Fire Detection Industry Association (FDIA) brings clarity and authority to an increasingly complex landscape of early warning and automated detection technologies – a must-see for consultants, specifiers, and risk managers.

“Also on board is the Fire Fighting Equipment Trader’s Association (FFETA), reinforcing Firexpo’s role as a go-to destination for reliable, regulated fire equipment and solutions. With support from SAQCC Fire, the expo puts competency and accountability at the forefront, ensuring professionals connect with accredited suppliers and service providers they can trust,” Anderson points out.

From fire engineers to facilities teams, insurers to installers, Firexpo offers a curated environment where you can compare products, update your knowledge, and network with the sector’s top minds. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the exhibitors at Firexpo, and sit in on some of the sessions at the free-to-attend Firexpo Seminar Theatre. “We have put together a programme that speaks to industry challenges and solutions, including current and revised legislation and regulations,” says Anderson.

More details on the seminars and a link to pre-register for free, are available on the expo’s website at www.firexpo.co.za.

Organisations wishing to exhibit at Firexpo 2025 can contact the Firexpo team on [email protected] or [email protected] to book a space, or capitalise on a sponsorship opportunity.
