The FDIA has negotiated a special 'package deal' with Reed Exhibitions to enable it to hold its AGM during the Securex 2002 exhibition from 27 February and 1 March 2002.
The Association will start its AGM at 09:00 on Thursday 29 February and this will be followed by a series of international speakers presenting papers on new technologies in the fire detection industry.
Fire village
The FDIA will also sponsor a 'Fire village' providing inexpensive display space for its members. Contractors can advertise their skills on a stand 'womaned' by independent people.
The 'fire day' is an attempt to draw specifiers, consultants and end-users out of their nests for a day of interest in detection as well as visit the Securex show.
To all member suppliers
The FDIA is to hold its AGM at Securex on 29 February 2002. The facilities are hired for the entire day providing us the opportunity of presenting 'fire detection' papers to the industry and public. Should you have one of your overseas suppliers or a fire personality who will be visiting you at Securex during this period please let us know to arrange him/her the opportunity of addressing the South African fire industry.
