PIR sensor offers easy installation

December 2001 Access Control & Identity Management

The new Intellisense IS-215T passive infrared motion sensor from FBII - available locally from TeqTrader - is designed with installer- friendly 45° terminal blocks that enable a clear view of the wiring platform, even when the sensor is already mounted.

"Basically this PIR sensor has everything an installer could require for ease of handling and everything the customer could ask for in terms of performance," says TeqTrader's Intrusion Product Manager, Larry Sloley, "it is a neat modern-looking sensor available with a wall or a ceiling bracket mounting. Other major benefits include the Intellisense patented 'look down zone' which provides an optimum detection pattern directly beneath the sensor and a built-in bug guard which prevents insect access into the sensor optics thereby minimising the potential for false activation."

The IS-215T is flush-mounting with a large wire channel that allows for quick, neat installations with considerable mounting flexibility. The unit is easily mounted on walls or corners for a full range of coverage and with subtle corner mounting knockouts it maintains its streamlined aesthetics wherever it is placed. Selectable sensitivity facilitates adjustment to match installation requirements. The IS-215T is designed for all residential and light commercial applications.
