Evolving Management Solutions (EMS) has been appointed to represent Keri Systems, a manufacturer of proximity card access control readers and systems, as its African distributor.
"Keri manufactures access control systems for managing one to 256 doors at a single site and thousands of doors over multiple sites, specialising in proximity technology, but also with the ability to use any Wiegand card reader technology. This compatibility means that they are HID compatible," says Steve Mason, Sales and Marketing Director at EMS. A proximity-based system from Keri typically costs 50% less than proximity-based systems from other popular suppliers - hence our ability to offer the lowest priced, yet proven solutions without compromising on quality," says Mason.
Commenting on EMS' appointment, Scott Lindley, Keri Systems' Director RFID products, says both companies share extensive industry experience and a real commitment to customer service. "To say we are pleased to be partnered with EMS is an understatement. In the US Keri is recognised as 'the Intelligent Proximity Alternative' and is widely considered to be the industry's benchmark for easy-to-use, competitively priced, proximity access solutions," says Lindley.
Keri Systems' new Pyramid Series proximity readers blend aesthetics, performance and small size with ultra-thin profile into a cost-effective product. They can be used on almost any manufacturer's access control system because they produce an industry standard Wiegand output feature. The Pyramid readers are compatible with Keri's new PSC-1 light proximity card and PSM-2 multi technology proximity card as well as the PSK-3 proximity keyring tag. The new cards and tags can be programmed to match a customer's Wiegand protocol as well as standard 26 bit format. The readers utilise pass-through technology in that any Pyramid Series card or tag will work on any Pyramid Series readers, regardless of the programmed card/tag format.
