Lenel Systems International recently released OnGuard 7.2 across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. OnGuard version 7.2 delivers new capabilities and significant improvements across a wide spectrum of security solutions. The latest release is focused on enhancements to visitor and cardholder management, access control and video management. Lenel products in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) are offered through UTC Fire & Security South Africa.
Some key features and functionalities of OnGuard 7.2 include two intelligent system controllers, two new web-based and mobile applications that enable easy cardholder management and visitor management, SIA OSDP card reader encryption and biometric support, ONVIF Profile S camera support and more.
“Lenel’s OnGuard 7.2 continues to offer an exceptional level of performance, and now also provides mobile technologies for around-the-clock operation of a company’s critical infrastructure,” said Riaan Pretorius, regional sales manager, Lenel SSA.
New features of OnGuard 7.2 include OnGuard Cardholder Self Service, a web-based application that automates the access requests process; OnGuard Visitor Self Service, a mobile-based application that automates visitor check-in, and OnGuard WATCH, which transforms and visualises system data into actionable information from a single, easy-to-digest dashboard.
“The recent integration of Supra’s proven TRACcess eKey technology with OnGuard further expands our capabilities for remote and dispersed locations. This technology turns smartphones into virtual access credentials,” said Pretorius. “This also provides a unique security advantage where credentials automatically expire if not periodically refreshed.”
