Simplex, Motor Control & Construction introduce fire, access control,CCTV and intruder detection systems

November '99 Access Control & Identity Management

Strengthening the company's presence as a provider of integrated building systems in South Africa, Simplex and its local representative, Wadeville-based Motor Control & Construction, recently conducted seminars in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Attendees were treated to interactive multimedia presentations covering Simplex's advanced range of fire, access control, CCTV and intruder detection systems.

Full system integration facilities were also demonstrated as the presenters detailed both companies' abilities to meet the most demanding of customer requirements.

Marty Wykes, Simplex's General Manager for the Middle East and Africa region, presented an overview of Simplex's 105-year history. This was followed by a fire alarm solutions presentation which included product range and environmentally self compensating fire alarm sensors and ended with the benefits of peer-to-peer networking, one of Simplex's many major capabilities.

Phil Mailes, Simplex's Business Development Manager for the region, then presented Simplex's vast range of integrated security solutions, including access control and CCTV systems.

Karen Lawrence, Motor Controls' Sales Executive, concluded the presentations with an overview of her company's history plus details of the commitment and expertise it offers the building systems' market.

The seminars also included live product demonstrations of Simplex's WIN3295, a single-site access control solution and the 4020 fire alarm panel, demonstrations which gave attendees an opportunity to view the systems and interact with the products in a 'live' situation.

"We were extremely satisfied with the seminars which attracted a diverse group of key people," says Chris Head, Motor Controls' Sales Director. "These attendees represented the complete range of industry personnel, from consultants and developers to potential end users from large, national corporations. We expect to see significant benefit from these seminars and in fact have received tenders for several prestigious projects as a direct result of the sessions."
