Have you ever had the problem of senseless vandal attacks on your readers? Or would you like to increase your readers' resistance to wet, windy weather? Cardax has been thinking about these problems and is releasing new covers for the Cardax SmartProx, Cardax SmartProx Plus and Cardax Smart Card Prox Plus readers.

Called the Cardax Prox cover and the Cardax Prox Plus cover, they are made from a strong, fire resistant polycarbonate. As well as being tough units, the covers have also been purposely designed to look robust. They are both fitted with security screws and have angled sides to deflect blows. The Prox Plus cover has metal keys to prevent someone cutting off the keys with a knife. The covers also help where readers need increased tolerance to bad weather.

The Cardax Prox and Prox Plus covers are due for release in November 1999.
