GSC Systems has received CE certification for its entire Proxnet access control system. Proxnet was displayed for the first time at the recent highly successful Securex '99 exhibition in Midrand, both by GSC and Elvey International, and again at Securex Cape '99. According to GSC's Erich Glatz, within two weeks of getting the CE approval, 25 systems had already been sold in the UK.
The ProxNet system is a local area network (LAN) system that can be controlled either by a single master controller or a PC. It is easily installed, daisy chaining readers onto an RS485 network. Says Glatz, "ProxNet is simple to operate either via the single Master controller or a PC. Although the ProxNet system is simplistic in its design and operation, it contains many features normally only found in much larger complex access control systems."
Whilst the ProxNet system has the ability to be linked to a PC, the PC need not be dedicated to the system as the Proxnet access control application can continue to run in the background whilst the PC is being utilised for daily task applications.
Elvey excels at distribution of Proxnet
According to Elvey International's Paul Wainstein, the partnership between GSC and Elvey International "... is an excellent one, which all the Elvey staff have taken to wholeheartedly. Proxnet is a quality access control product, competitively priced and backed up with superb service from GSC Systems." Pictured below, Eric Glatz congratulates Paul Wainstein on Elvey International's recent order for the SA Reserve Bank, the first Proxnet system of over 100 readers.
