Elvey International introduces DSC's new wireless Key Kit

November '99 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

DSC's new wireless key kit furnishes everything a dealer needs, to add a wireless key to a Power 832 installation. The kit works with DSC's award winning Power 832 system and includes the PC5132 wireless receiver, two WLS 909 wireless keys and a manual.

Says Elvey International's Andrew Stead, "A wireless key provides customers with convenient, easy to use, single-button control of their security system. Once installed, customers can use the wireless key to activate the alarm system after leaving the premises and disarm it before entering; arm the system in the stay mode and/or the away mode and initiate fire, panic or medical alert signals to the central monitoring station.

"The installer has a list of 21 possible system commands that the wireless key can be programmed to perform. As an example, the programmable output, in conjunction with a relay, could be used to operate an electric garage door opener," says Stead.

Detailed programming instructions are contained in the PC5132 installation manual and programming can be done from any system keypad connected to the Power 832 Control. The Power 832/wireless key kit offers ideal opportunities for alarm dealers to boost sales by offering customers a very attractive add-on.
