Meeting market demands with flexible control panels

November '99 News & Events

"Choosing the right control panel for your home or office can be a mammoth task especially considering the different requirements that each application demands. Attempting to meet these requirements has resulted in a wide range of new systems that need to be taught, understood and implemented.

"Added to this is an expanding babble of technological jargon that is enough to throw even the most sophisticated technician into confusion. That is exactly why Electronics Line has created the Summit 3208GLD control panel," says Electronics Line's Marketing Communications Manager, Daniella Crankshaw.

"The Summit 3208GLD control panel will adapt perfectly to any requirement giving you the freedom to expand your security system as circumstances dictate. This versatile panel features eight on-board zones which are expandable to 32 using our hardware or wireless zone expander modules. Furthermore, it offers true partitions with up to four subsystems, a common zone for partitioned systems and an expanded event log with time/date stamp that records the last 100 events the system has undergone.

"The relay modules provide you with the option of adding up to two or up to seven dry contact relays to your system providing you with 24 different programmable operating modes. These are ideal for simple to moderate home automation applications such as programming your system to turn on the lights in the event of alarm activation," she says.

Keypad choices include an easy-to-use LED keypad and 2-line 16-character LCD keypad. Both these keypads have backlighting and three emergency keypad activated zones.

The Summit 3208GLD control panel supports up to eight supervised keypads which gives you the option of installing multiple keypads throughout the installation site.
