Fastcom and Securiton sign collaboration agreement

Swiss-based Fastcom Technology and Securiton have signed an agreement for the development of a new line of smoke and fire detection systems, built around automatic, video-based event detection technology. This technology is particularly well suited for monitoring large halls, tunnels, power plants and outdoor facilities such as parking areas or oilrig platforms.

Hans Winzenried, CEO at Swiss Securitas Group of which Securiton is a part, stated: "Smoke and fire detection is the first product we are developing jointly, under the FireVision brand name. We intend to develop other video-based event detection products, with Fastcom being our development partner."
