Sensor-teq is a sophisticated perimeter intrusion detection system that combines a physical deterrent barrier and detection system to offer an effective perimeter security system.
The sytem is a modular concept offering the choice and combination of three perimeter technologies ie tautwire detection, low-voltage detection and nonlethal shock all on the same structure.
The purpose of a Sensor-teq system is to deter or delay unwanted intrusion and to generate reliable alarms upon detecting any attempted crossing of the system. Alarms would be generated if the taut wires are climbed, deflected or cut, or if the system is tampered with. Sensor-teq also offers the option of producing nonlethal electrical shock to the taut wires. The structure is normally only energised upon detection or may be continuously pulsed.
The system may also be combined with other technologies such as physical deterrent barriers like barbed/razor coils, and interfaced with CCTV and access control systems. The taut wires may be smooth or barbed to offer additional deterrence.
