Introducing InvisiLarm

April 2014 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

InvisiLarm is a new security concept, based on two or three main components with low or no visual impact.

* The Roteck FollowerControl Home, to be installed at entrances or windows.

* The Roteck FollowerControl Gate, to be installed at the main gate and garage doors.

* The Roteck wireless ImpactPanic System Nova plus (Centurion).

InvisiLarm is a wired or wireless (depending on application) decentralised alarm system which is permanently on alert. Deactivation is only temporary after clearing the safety condition to ensure nobody was following you at the residence’s entrance in order to avoid not only burglary, but also armed robbery, rape, assault and hijacking.

The additional ImpactPanic System Nova plus allows activation in threatening situations either by dropping the unit, or as an automatic trigger acting on changing light or magnetic conditions.

How does it work?

FollowerControl Home is an infrared beam to be installed at doorways. The advantage is the intelligent direction verification and counting ability. After you have entered your premises, the system will detect one person and set a pre-alarm which can be reset within 20 seconds. If you don’t reset, or a second person is detected, the unit will set the main alarm which cannot be reset and activates the armed response transmitter.

FollowerControl Gate is a similar system, but remote controlled from your gate automation. You prepare the control unit when opening the gate by remote, granting access for one vehicle or person only. Any vehicle or person following through the open gate will set off a pre alarm which can be reset within 20 seconds by activating your remote control again. A second follower will set off the main alarm which cannot be reset.

The way out is not restricted or affected in any way and does not require any action.

The ImpactPanic System Nova plus is a modified Centurion Nova remote control with additional features which allows activation in threatening situations either by dropping the unit, or as an automatic trigger, acting on changing light or magnetic conditions. There is also a resettable 20 second delay unit available, to avoid activation by mistake.

Any desired number of independent operating units can be combined, either wireless or wired, and activate the response transmitter directly. No conventional alarm system is required. All units can be fed by any 12 V DC source with battery backup (recommended), for instance existing alarm wiring or gate battery, CCTV UPS or a separate UPS. For installation convenience Roteck can also supply a mini-UPS unit with built-in solar charger, sufficient to operate a single unit and to recharge from indoor daylight.

InvisiLarm can also be combined with existing alarm equipment or with the new Olympia GSM voice alarm system, developed in and imported from Germany. FollowerControl is also available for access control systems.
