Integration nothing to sneeze at

March 2014 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection

Security systems have developed with leaps and bounds over the past few years. If we take a step backwards and look at the whole security industry, we need to ask the question: Have I, as a service provider, provided the client with the best and most effective security system and am I providing the client with a service the client is expecting?

When we look at alarm systems, cameras and all other systems the question remains: is that passive, beam, electric fence or camera going to stop the perpetrator?

Twenty years ago Chilli Pepper Security Systems looked at the problem clients face when spending money on security. It then started developing pro-active security systems that would instantly provide a barrier against the perpetrator. It employed pepper spray that could be either integrated or be used as a secondary backup system.

What this did was to instantly neutralise the criminal and put him/her in a situation where they were instantly incapacitated and unable to successfully pull off the act.

Over years, the systems were developed and adapted to be effective in most scenarios. The most successes have been achieved in remote areas/sites where there is no response available. These systems have saved many a client the trauma associated with home invasions and prevented the loss of millions of Rands of assets.

The best results achieved though is when there is an opportunity to do an installation where several security solutions are employed together and integrated to form a solid security barrier. We have found that not one single system (even our own) can claim to be more effective than another but together they can be pretty awesome providing the client with real value for money spent on securing his or her family and assets.
