An addition to Duxbury Networking’s portfolio of multi-gigabit wireless backhaul solutions is the Proxim Tsunami QB-62000, a 60 GHz wireless point-to-point Ethernet bridge solution. Designed to exceed 4G cell site speed requirements, it delivers rates of 1 Gbps full duplex.

In addition to being one of the highest capacity wireless links available, facilitating a more efficient wireless backhaul network delivery service, the Proxim QB-62000 is also one of the most compact units on the market, according to Duxbury Networking CEO, Graham Duxbury.

“The tight integration of its components, including an integrated antenna, reduces the size of the device to less than 20 x 20 centimetres, which can easily be integrated into typical small cellular base station or picocell enclosures.

“Weighing only 2,5 kg, with a small wind loading, the small form-factored device can be installed in almost any location, indoors or outdoors, allowing more flexibility in network planning,” he says.

The Proxim Tsunami QB-62000, which requires a single Ethernet cable to provide power and data connectivity within Ethernet specifications and is fully manageable via a Web GUI interface and additional supporting protocols such as SNMPv3.
