JSE-listed CS Holdings' mining and manufacturing division, CS Systems Integration, has been awarded the contract to implement an information delivery system at the De Beers Kimberly-based Combined Treatment Plant (CTP).
De Beers is the only company active in every category of diamond mining - open pit, underground, alluvial, coastal and undersea. The information delivery system that is being implemented at the De Beers CTP diamond recovery plant uses Atlantis, a Microsoft SQL-based data warehouse which was developed by CS Systems Integration as middleware. This data warehouse captures the data from the various systems on-site and the information is viewed via the intranet in pre-configured reports according to user requirements. The project was started in March and will be completed by October 2001.
CS Systems Integration focuses on integrating its solutions and streamlining its offerings to provide a complete solution for the full spectrum of the supply chain.
