Kronos releases Workforce Central 4.0

August 2001 News & Events

Kronos has announced the release of Workforce Central 4.0, a web-based suite of frontline labour management applications.

Workforce Central 4.0 features a fully interactive web-based client that eliminates the cost of desktop management and enables the application to be easily accessed from anywhere in the enterprise. Workforce Central 4.0 includes more than 2400 features, hundreds of which were completely redesigned to take advantage of the web computing environment. Kronos worked hand-in-hand with an extensive array of customers to analyse how Kronos applications are used by organisations across industries. "We have always gathered customer feedback and factored it into our development process,'' said Steve Flieder, Kronos Vice President of Product Marketing.

According to Carl Blake, a Director of CS Systems Integration, a division of JSE-listed CS Holdings, "Providing the features and user interface people want is only part of being successful in the business of frontline labour management. Basically, when dealing with frontline labour management you are dealing with an employee's pay and concomitant conditions of employment - often with a wide range of personal, environmental and business factors also playing a role - and it is imperative to get the pay rules right. This new product release from Kronos is a giant step towards providing an effective business solution for a very expensive resource."
