GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World's Security Manager, Duane Firmani, has been named as a joint recipient of the 2001 Santam Risk Management Award. The award is in recognition of his initiating and developing a successful crime prevention strategy in Vanguard Drive, as well as for his security system which is in use at the urban entertainment complex. This year's award is shared with Gert Cruywagen of Iscor.
General Manager of GrandWest, Kurt Peter, has praised Firmani for his achievement.

Duane's efforts in tackling crime in the Vanguard Drive vicinity have been remarkable and it is great to see him named one of South Africa's top risk managers.
