FDIA to investigate third party of approval of fire detection system

The FDIA are to conduct a research project into the future introduction of third party inspection and certification of fire detection installations. Although maybe not wanting to involve the association directly in this task, the committee is to investigate the establishment of a third party organisation to take upon itself this major task.

This has been successfully implemented in European and the Americas and the association feels the time is right to establish this practice in South Africa. Therefore, the FDIA requests from any organisation that feel they have the infrastructure to be involved in this operation, to contact the association for further discussions.
