Pentagon takes on CEM Systems

June 2011 News & Events

Recently acquired by Hudaco, Pentagon Distributors, a specialist division of Elvey Security Technologies, has added CEM Systems to its product line-up.

According to Pentagon MD Brendon Hall, the addition of CEM will ensure that installers, integrators and end users have easier-than-ever access to reliable, innovative and sophisticated access control systems.

Pentagon built its name by installing surveillance systems in malls, prisons and sports stadia. In fact, large projects such as Kimberly Prison, Heineken Brewery, National Forensic Science Labs; Eastgate Shopping Centre, the University of Cape Town, Peter Mokaba, Nelson Mandela Bay and Cape Town World Cup soccer stadia are all in a day’s work for the company.

Widely respected for its attention to detail and customer satisfaction, Pentagon embraced the opportunity to join forces with CEM, designer of the AC2000 product range.

“We believe that the future lies in system design and integration across the CCTV, access control, intruder and fire detection system spectrums,” Hall explains. “As specialists in the field of integrating IP technology into existing corporate security infrastructures, we know how important it is to have access to high quality products. CEM’s objectives resonate perfectly with ours, namely to set the standard in integrated security management systems throughout the country.”

The AC2000 range has a large customer base. Regarded as the benchmark within the airport market, the AC2000AE (Airport Edition) is CEM’s largest and most powerful system, encompassing all the core features of the AC2000SE as well as a host of functions and modules specifically designed for airports. Among its airport clients are Budapest, Hong Kong, Vancouver, Heathrow and Stansted and it is has taken its place as the preferred system of the United Kingdom’s airport sector.
