Dedicated Micros' Digital Sprite Lite has come up trumps, scooping a security industry award at this year's IFSEC.
The security industry awards, sponsored by BSIA, are designed to highlight the best new products developed since February 2000. Digital Sprite Lite was selected because it was 'an easy to use and install package bringing together digital video multiplexing, digital video recording and network video transmission.'
Dedicated Micros was one of six winners selected by the judging panel chaired by BSIA Chief Executive David Fletcher, and announced at IFSEC's Awards dinner. All entries had to meet rigorous standards - unique in concept, design and/or performance, use technology new to the security industry and meet a previously unsatisfied customer need.
Pauline Norstrom, Marketing Communications Manager at Dedicated Micros explains: "Attending IFSEC was quite an experience for us this year - not only did we receive a great deal of international interest in our new Digital Sprite, but also leads are up 27% on last year and to cap it all we received this award for the Digital Sprite Lite."
Showcasing at IFSEC was the Digital Sprite. Designed to have the look and feel of a traditional CCTV system, Digital Sprite combines digital multiplexing, digital recording, multiple-user network viewing and inbuilt dome control in a single easy-to-use and install package. The system takes the hassle out of installation with automatic set-up, familiar multiplexer and VCR control keys and user-friendly interface to minimise installation time and operator training.
