New HID Fargo DTC printer range launched

April 2011 News & Events

New Teltron announced the arrival and availability of the new HID Fargo DTC range of PVC card printers in South Africa as well as its current top seller, the HDP5000 retransfer printer at a function in March. The event was held at the Cabanga Conference Centre in Northriding.

The purpose of the event was to introduce the exciting new printer range to New Teltron’s extended distributor network, providing them with sales information, technical background and to introduce the distributor network to HID Global’s international representatives and technical support team.

The distributors were welcomed by Arie van Rheede (general manager, sales); Tersia van Rheede (Fargo product manager); Nico Breedt (Fargo sales and technical) and Darrell Northard (Fargo technician) from New Teltron. Guests were spoiled with an exquisite buffet lunch in the pool area.

Nat Pisupati, regional sales manager MEA (Middle East Africa) and Abbas Naqvi, senior technical support EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) were the keynote speakers at the event. Topics included the latest technology developments in PVC card printing, RFID and Smart Card encoding and card production software solutions (Asure ID).

The day was concluded with a question and answer session where the printers were on display for viewing and distributors had the opportunity to network and mingle with the entire HID Fargo team during the cocktail hour.

New Teltron also sponsored three Fujifilm cameras during a lucky draw session and a special promotion on all the printers involved were offered to all attendees.

A similar event was held in Cape Town to introduce the new printer range to the end-user market, providing them with technical background and to introduce the HID Global’s international representatives and technical support team.
