Loophold to distribute Trustwave

November 2010 News & Events

Loophold Security Distribution, a local distributor of secure network infrastructure products, has secured local distribution rights to Trustwave products and services in Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. These products will provide the market with access to a broad array of security solutions, including managed security services and compliance solutions, with a strong focus on network access control (NAC) technology. The technology allows organisations to manage compliance and secure their network infrastructure, data communications and critical information assets.

Says Martin Tassev, managing director at Loophold: “Having previously distributed Mirage Networks’ NAC technology, which Trustwave acquired, we are familiar with the technology and are excited about the evolution of the NAC product portfolio. We understand the market’s needs and requirements, and are augmenting our solutions with Trustwave’s products to help companies protect their information.”

Trustwave’s technology is an important enabler of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) strategies, making it an imperative for not only international organisations, but South African companies too. One such example is compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) – the payment card industry security requirement for any entity that processes, transmits and/or stores cardholder data – is becoming necessary.

Says Brooks Wallace, managing director, Trustwave, EMEA: “Loophold is well known in the South African financial services and corporate sector, making it an ideal partner for Trustwave in assisting us with our strategy in Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. Loophold’s value-added services and expertise will provide resellers and their customers with a valuable resource.”
