Home fire safety kit

April 2010 Fire & Safety

SafeQuip is launching an affordable fire safety kit that detects and prevents fires in the home and micro businesses. By far the most commonly occurring fires are domestic fires, which can spread quickly.

A pan of oil bursts into flames, a child starts a fire, or a paraffin lamp falls over – suddenly there is a blaze. What do you do? With the home safety kit, the fire alarm will detect the fire and raise the alarm. Pull the pin on the fire extinguisher, aim at the base of the fire and press the trigger.

If not armed with the right equipment, the results of fires that get out of control can be horrendous. Third degree burns, loss of property, disfigurement and deaths are all possible, if not probable. A fire detection, suppression and extinguishing system is a must.

The fire kit in a box contains an easy to install smoke detector, a fire blanket and a 600 g fire extinguisher. It costs R260 and could mean the difference between containing a fire or total disaster and is effective in most emergency fire situations.

The fire kit in a box can be ordered by calling SafeQuip on 086 000 FIRE or leave an enquiry on the www.safequip.co.za website.
