Within the field of vehicle security current products concentrate on the prevention of theft of or from the vehicle. Once a protected vehicle has been disarmed by a thief and subsequently driven away there are no visible signs to indicate that it is stolen or hijacked.

It is at this stage that the 'ejecting number plate' comes into operation. If a vehicle is misappropriated by a criminal, the mechanism instantly ejects one or both number plates once the vehicle is started, revealing a large 'stolen' sign on the vehicle's bodywork or bumper. This obvious indication will allow onlookers the opportunity of warning local security or law enforcement authorities.

Available fully installed, or as a DIY kit, this innovative device could increase the possibility of recovering a stolen vehicle.
