Mustek affiliate company PreWorx, formerly Diamond Networking Technology, has secured the rights to distribute the Ankari range of authentication products in South Africa.
PreWorx will be taking these products to market through the channel, and is looking to appoint appropriate systems integrators and partners.
Ankari has its roots in the development and supply of biometric equipment for the US government and CIA. "The Ankari products fit neatly into our business model," says Rhys Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director of PreWorx. "We have been almost solely focused on the development of software solutions for the pre-boot, or operating system-absent sector of the IT market, and integrating third-party products with ours is a clear part of our strategy. Access control, authentication and security, as provided by Ankari, are in line with this overall vision."
Ankari's products include: Trinity, enterprise-ready, single-sign-on and authentication software; BioMouse, a desktop fingerprint scanner; BioMouse Plus, an advanced fingerprint scanner with integrated smartcard reader; and Card Drive, a high-performance desktop smartcard reader.
