Elvey offers Tavcom training

February 2009 News & Events

Elvey Security Technologies has announced the addition of Tavcom Training, a United Kingdom-based training company to its portfolio. With Tavcom, Elvey is now able to provide theory and practical training, ranging from foundation levels to a more advanced diploma course.

Says Jack Edery, CEO of Elvey Security Technologies, “the rate of recent developments regarding the gathering and handling of information within control rooms, offices and other facilities has been breathtaking. Against this backdrop I have no doubt that those who invest in ongoing, top notch training will be best placed to take advantage of the excellent opportunities our industry has to offer.”

The courses on offer cover the different aspects of the electronic security industry from the correct manner to select, install, and maintain CCTV to IP networks, access control and intruder alarms. These courses will be expanded in the near future to introduce operations-based training.

Explaining his choice of training partner, Edery says Tavcom is one of the first institutions anywhere in the world to introduce International Diploma qualifications in the electronic security field. He believes that this training is the perfect means for stakeholders to empower themselves with up to date knowledge so vital in this field for their own progress as well as their ability to satisfy their customers’ needs.

Elvey presently offers eight Tavcom training courses and hopes to add to this in the near future. The courses are accredited and certified by the Edexcel foundation, one of the five UK’s main examination boards. This opens up the global industry for delegates who successfully complete the TAVCOM Diploma.
