Card access technology company, HID Corporation, has appointed Evolving Management Solutions (EMS) as its official distributor for the southern Africa region, it was announced recently.
This announcement strengthens EMS's position as distributor of proximity readers. Announcing the appointment, Steve Mason, Marketing Director at EMS says HID provides the broadest range of access control, computer security and asset tracking products available.
"HID pioneered the development of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for security and smartcard applications. It has also created single-card solutions that provide convenient, secure access and commercial exchange in both the physical and virtual world. The company has shipped over 100 million cards, tags and other credentials to locations on every continent," says Mason.
Stuart Pickering, MD at EMS, says HID products are in high demand locally and provide complementary functionality to the EMS product portfolio particularly the System 42 suite of access control and management systems.
