Security from the outside in

PowerFence Trophy FT integrates the unique advantages of PowerFence perimeter security with the sophisticated security integration platform provided by Cardax FT.

The integrated solution enables sites to manage system-wide security through one management platform, through a single user interface. Cardax FT is a Microsoft Windows-based security system now extending beyond its description as an electronic access control and intruder alarm system.

The integrated solution became available with the release of Cardax FT v5.02 and new PowerFence Trophy FT Fence controllers and keypads in September 2006.

High Level Integration with PowerFence Trophy FT means that perimeter security is now fully supported in the Cardax FT system. PowerFence Trophy FT fence controllers, keypads and fence zones are all directly configured in the Cardax FT Command Centre, the management system. Cardax FT events and alarms, alarm instructions and action plans are established for perimeter security.

System features that are especially relevant for PowerFence Trophy FT systems include site plans that act as a graphical representation of the site, and reflect the realtime status of items; full alarms management, with the ability to channel all alarms from across distributed sites through the Cardax FT system for appropriate action; comprehensive audit trail, and flexible searching and reporting options; system division, enabling the system to be segmented for management and monitoring purposes; and extensive operator privileges to control who can view and edit information.

The scalability of the Cardax FT system means additional PowerFence Trophy FT fence controllers, alarm keypads and fence zones can be installed and configured as required to fences located across multiple sites for central or distributed alarms management. Subject only to the communications network, there are no hard limits set on how large the system can grow.

Cardax FT has been designed as the platform for integration. It has standard interfaces available to support the integration of third party systems for imaging and intercom systems; elevator and building management systems such as airconditioning and lighting; and sharing cardholder data.

Images can be linked from a DVR system to an alarm raised in response to an intruder attempt on a particular Fence Zone of the PowerFence perimeter security fence.
